Paula Pardo (International Relations, Class of 2016) is working at Spain’s Permanent Representation to the United Nations’ department of Human Rights in Geneva.
Her function is to report on the different bilateral meetings which are held. Pardo also deals with topics such the XXVIII session of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Argentina, Benin, Gabon, Ghana, Guatemala, Japan, Pakistan, Peru, the Czech Republic, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Ukraine, and Zambia, or of the Committee on the Elimination of Violence Against Women, as well as the Forum on Business and Human Rights, among others.
Pardo, is also doing an internship at the Hudson Institute performing non-resident analyst work. She also analyses primary and secondary sources for the preparation of technical reports and academic articles.
Previously, Paula Pardo, did an internship at the Spanish embassy in Japan. There she reported periodically on the country’s political and social issues, elaborated a protocol of emergency responses for the embassies in event of natural disasters, and maintained the content on the embassy’s official web page.
