The Water that Gives: Mediterranean Water Management Cooperation in Apeiron Ediciones and Faber & Sapiens in ebook format.
This policy paper tackles the challenges for water resource management that the states along the Mediterranean basin will encounter during the XXI Century, giving a special focus on the effects of climate change on access to water resources in the region. Climate change will increase the stress on water resources due to effects of extreme weather such as flooding and drought. In consequence, water management systems will have to be developed accordingly. Such action requires favorable regional policies and a global perspective for which the essay provides a series of proposals.
